BRCP Annual Meeting 2023

This year, the theme bringing us together in Namur, Belgium, is the mental health of researchers, and the introductory lectures are open to the public (although the complementary discussion sessions will remain internal to the association).

We will be welcoming the following speakers:

Speakers (Saturday)

• Anne Lovell (Inserm, Paris) on global mental health
• Stefan Mol (University of Amsterdam) on mental health in Academia

Friday Sessions

(In French :

• Anne Staquet (UMons) and the UNamur psychosocial risk unit, for local advice
• PhiloCité on philosophy of mental health)

In English :

• Vincent Lorant (UCL + MHSR) on psychosocial factors of mental health
• A philosophy of mental health workshop - host to be confirmed

BRCP Sessions

• Diversity and constraints (about what is in the way of people who don't fit in)
• Hierarchy in Academia (well... that's clear enough)
• One session with theme still open (propositions: imposter syndrome, eco-anxiety...)

Registration is free of charge and particularly encouraged for young researchers, as they are part of a population whose mental health is concerning.

Sensory suppression devices will be provided on site if necessary and a resting room will be available at all times to make the conference accessible to neuroatypical people. Access to the rooms will also be guaranteed for people with reduced mobility.
